The 2008 Lake Erie Pirates Baseball Club

The Lake Erie Pirates Baseball Club was formed in Erie, PA in 2004 with the goal of exposing talented young baseball players to competitive youth baseball in surrounding communities. Today, the Lake Erie Pirates Baseball Club has grown to five travel baseball teams made up of talented boys between the ages of 8 through 13. All of the kids are from the Erie area and share one common interest - they love to play the game of baseball! The teams practice on a year-round basis and are scheduled to compete and represent the Erie community in several tournaments throughout the tri-state area during the spring, summer and fall months of the 2008 calendar year. All team activities are coordinated by parent volunteers who are committed to teaching the kids advanced baseball skills, good sportsmanship and respect for opposing players, coaches, umpires and each other. While we hope to develop fundamentally sound baseball players, ultimately, we hope to develop better young men through this baseball experience.
The Lake Erie Pirates 11U roster consists of 10 & 11 year old boys who are playing together as a team for the second time in 2008. As a team, we are excited about the 2008 season and invite you to review our site. We would like to extend a special THANK YOU to all of the sponsors who have generously “invested” in the Lake Erie Pirates 11U team for the 2008 baseball season. Without our sponsors, our season wouldn’t be possible! Their financial support will assist us with the necessary funding to help defray the costs of equipment, insurance, safety gear, tournament fees and other game necessities.
