Huntsville Heat takes 2nd Place in the North Alabama Championship!

The Huntsville Heat fell to the Extreme Fury in the championship game at Wilson Morgan Park in Decatur. Starting after midnight, it was the Heat's fifth game of the day and the culmination of 18 hours of softball.
All of the girls played great but some of the highlights of the day included:
* Truly outstanding pitching by Jillie R. and Emily J, with a combined total of 341 pitches and 13 strikeouts.
* Behind the plate, Annabelle R. and Cynthia C. consistently kept the batters and base-runners on their toes, throwing several out at 2nd.
* Five singles by Alyssa D in ten appearances at bat.
* ESPN-quality web gems by Heather K, Annabelle R, Cynthia C and Ciara S.
* The purple heart award goes to Allyson A for sacrificing her leg for the team.
About Us......
The Huntsville Heat is an established 14U traveling team that plays fastpitch softball tournaments primarily in the North Alabama area. Our roster includes players from Huntsville, Madison and the surrounding area that have the desire to play softball at a competitive level.
