July 4, 2007 After a hard fought first round the Avon Jr. Orioles and Irvington Rattlers came out on top. In the second round games were competitive until the rain came. The rain caused both games to be delayed until Sunday at which time the Avon Jr. Orioles came out with a win over the Irvington Rattlers. Rain once again delayed the game between the Oaklandon Bombers and the New Palestine Dragons. The Bombers and Dragons then rescheduled for a Wednesday night game to complete the remaining two innings. It did not take long for the Bombers to break open a game that was tied in the forth inning. Once the Bombers knocked off the Dragons they were able to defeat the Irvington Rattlers 5 to 1 in a rematch. Next up is the Championship! The Championship is sure to be a great contest between the Oaklandon Bombers and the Avon Jr. Orioles. Good luck to both teams!
