Cheer Select FORCE took FIRST Place AND the Grand Champion Award on Oct. 5!

Their first competition this season and they took the highest score of the entire day! FORCE competed against 8 other teams in their division, walking away with the FIRST PLACE trophy. Then ... walked with the highest score out of 52 teams and took home the Grand Champion award!

From a new CYA Cheer Select member in 2008/09:
After Power Elite closed, we moved onto another local all star team, and it costs a LOT more than Power Elite, plus they worked them so hard, she had to go to an orthopedic specialist who told her she had to stop. She sobbed openly because she loves this sport so much, it's the only one she likes. I am truly appreciative you setup Cheer Select. I can't afford the private gyms, plus I don't want her to be worked so hard that her body collapses.
From a 2007/08 CYA Cheer Select POWER Parent ..daughter made JV CHS cheer this coming year as a Freshman!!
I am so proud of her she made JV as a Freshman! CYA was great preparation for her. She learned so much from it. I think she really wants to help the CYA squads whenever she can. It will be so cool that she will be at the camp at the HS (as one of the cheerleaders) - when CYA goes there. I can't believe that she always would go to that with CYA. Where does time go?????

I just wanted to take a minute to let you know just what you have done for my daughter. She is an eighth grader cheering for POWER. She is shy, and her true love is cheerleading. Knowing that, I put her in gymnastics in the 6th grade to give her a shot at cheerleading. She fractured her back and was out of PE for an entire year. She will never do a back hand spring but you made it possible for her to become an outstanding cheerleader. As she told me the other day, "Cheerleading is empowering and it makes me stop being so shy." She has such a sense of confidence and has learned more than just teamwork. She is terribly protective of her flyer and has said she would far rather take a kick in the face than allow her flyer to fall. She told me one day, "Mommy, I'm not good at school or art or chorus, but I'm good at cheerleading." We were a one income family, and this fall could not have afforded Legacy or Dynasty but you made it possible for her to cheer and cheering has brought her great peace. We get so busy we sometimes forget how blessed we are. You have blessed her life and in doing so have deeply blessed mine as well.

Thank you so much for a most amazing cheer season. Cheerleading was completely new to us this year and you have made our entire experience more than words can describe ... Our daughter is truly blessed to have you as her coach ... we look forward to many more years cheering with CYA!!

Thank you for Cheer Select this year. We are happy to have found you on the internet as our daughter was able to be a part of Cheer Select this season. She had a good positive experience, made many new friends that I know she will keep in touch with. She is moving on to high school this fall and I know that this past season has helped prepare her for her high school cheer experience...Good Luck next year!

I just want to thank you ALL for your hard work, time and effort you put into making CYA cheer so much fun for our kids. My daughter is constantly cheering around the house and the tossing her 5 year old brother in the air, he wants to be a cheerleader too! She always wants to go to practice, which is rare with kids and their activities ... her self confidence and esteem has changed for the better since she has been on this team, and we are most grateful for that ... thank you for making this FUN for the kids!

I have never seen or experienced such an organized organization. This has been by far the best experience in a sports program we have ever had and I can't imagine ever going any place else. We came from [another local youth league] and can't even compare the difference ... apples and oranges. My daughter has just blossomed since she joined CYA and we want you to know she will be with you until high school!

CYA is an amazing organization and all the wonderful things we have heard about Cheerleading is true! I don't know how you all do it ~ but thank you for the most fabulous season ever. This is our 4th year with CYA cheer and it gets better ever year.

Coach Kathy is an awesome coach. She really took the time to develop each girl's talent on the squad. Most of all, I have never seen a coach that has put more heart and soul into her team then she does. Thank you!

Thank you all so much for the best season ever! We were skeptical going in to Cheer Select as we had no idea what to expect. Wow! When you say 'addictive' you are right. I can't wait until next season! Coach Michelle, Julie and Dawn were are most favorite coaches in all of our cheer seasons. We will most definitely be back next year. Thank you.!
