Winter 2008-09 Lesson Registration Form
Welcome to Clary Anderson Arena a facility of the Township of Montclair managed by United Skates of America. Our group lesson program follows the United States Figure Skating (USFS). Skate with U.S. Guidelines. Ice Sakting is great fun for everyone and it is never too late to learn. So lace up your skates and Come skate with U.S.
Class Format:
All lesson students are allowed on the ice at the beginning of the lesson period to begin their class or practice session. All classes will meet once a week for 6 weeks and will include a 30 minute lesson and a 30-minute practice in the designated practice area. Practice time will either be before of after the lesson depending on the time slot choosen. Children should be dressed and ready 10 minutes befor the scheduled start time of the class. It is sometimes necessary to repeat a level in order to master all of the skills required to advance to the next. Taking two classes per week can help advance a skater to our other United Skated programs more quickly.
Lesson Cost (6 Week Session)
1 Class per week $115.00 per person
1 Class of Mommy or Daddy & me per week $195
2 Classes per week $195 per person

Class Age description:
Adult Basic Skills: Ages 13 and Up
Learn to Hockey Skate: Ages 4 and up(skills required)
Basic Skills : Ages 6-12
Snow Plow Sam : Ages 4-6
Mommy or Daddy & Me: child 4-5 yrs with parent in class together

Spring Youth Hockey League 2009
Our Youth Hockey League begins April 4th with player evaluation sessions. This winter we offer the following age divisions:
14 and Under/Middle School
Players born 1/1/94 to 12/31/96
11 and Under
Players Born 1/1/97 to 12/31/99
8 and Under (Mite Instructional League)
Players born 1/1/00 or later
The 11 and Under and 8 and Under are non checking divisions and all players register as individuals. The Middle School/14 and Under Division is a full check league which will accept both team or individual registration.
All Players in the 11 and Under and Middle School/14 and Under Division receive 8 games and 2 practices or skills sessions. For details on the Mite Instructional League, please see our "Mite Instructional League" brochure.
Youth League time slots for Spring 2009 are Saturday and Sunday afternoons, Tuesday and Thursdays. Some additional time slots may be added based upon registration.

Spring Mite Instructional League Winter 2009
Our Mite Instructional League is designed to be a fun filled first hockey league experience for your young player. Players receive a skills session each Tuesday night during our "Learn to Play Hockey" hour as well as a weekly game.
During our weekly game several coaches are on the ice working with the players on skills and positional play. Space is limited, please register early. Our Spring schedule:
Evaluation and Clinic: Saturday, April 4th, 415pm
Games (6): Played Saturday or Sunday afternoons , April and May
Skills/Practice Sessions (6): Tuesdays,6-7pm, Starting April 7th.
Fee: $180 per player
$165 for Montclair residents
