Entry ID: 1872558 | Hello Boyle Heights I am sure you have heard the sad news that our former youth president Jerry Chavez passed away on Monday March 14th. At the request of his wife Yazmin Chavez I am sharing the funeral information with you all, please let ur Wolfpack family know.
Rosary/Viewing will be Wednesday March 23rd @ 7pm and the Mass will be on Thursday March 24th @ 10am with a Luncheon to follow at Saint Greogory's in Whittier California. There will be no burial as Jerry's wishes were to be cremated.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers that you can make a donation to the Make A Wish Foundation, Jerry was always thinking of the youth and this was a way to keep his memory alive, there will be an account set up in Jerry's name as soon as the family has the information they will let us know.

My hat to you and I can honestly say that when we started we felt there was only one way to measure our competition and that was to beat the best. The Jr. Midget game was a measure for our boys to lift that challenge and Boyle Heights is and has always been a City to reckon with. A message to your Directors and Players and Fans, this is a humbling event for our City and we respect Boyle Heights for giving us a fight. As Rudy stated to the Jr. Midget player your attitude after the fact is mature like success and you will have it when you go on to the next level. Once again, we hope that we can each help eachother improve our level of competition with regards to the Del Rey League and keep representing at the Top whether it be BG, ELA, or The Wolfpack Nation in every Division and shut the doors to those who think and believe we are in the weakest of Leagues in this Conference. Bell Gardens was stronger, faster, and was just simply the better team, there is no other way to put it.
