Our kids came to play and I want to let everyone know about it...we played with heart and energy...that's all we ask for. Balboa (Black) is a great team, they have 4 wins and 1 loss...they lost to the same team we lost to; Steele Canyon (Red), who before today had a record of
4 wins and 0 losses. We play hard every game and that's all that I want from our players. Keep trying, we will continue to get better. I first want to thank all of you for bringing your kids out to play for our team. If we didn't have your child, we wouldn’t have a team. This year has started off rough, but the kids are gaining experience from all of the games. We can't win them all, but as long as we play with 110% effort and come away with useful knowledge; I can't ask for much else. We have a young team that can play with any Jr. Pee Wee team in San Diego, it's just all of the "good breaks" are going to the other team's right now. Tell my players to keep on trucking and also tell them...this is not the end of football; they still have plenty of years to play. We play, we learn and we move on. JPW Blue. Now let's go and get Balboa (Black)!!!!!!

Entry ID: 1204664 | Yes, Pee Wee family don't let the 1st game of the season bring you down. Its only the 1st game of the season. We went through the same trail from last year when we lost against Balboa and boy did that hurt. But,look what it did to our team. It lit a FIRE in them and at the end of the season we became Q-Bowl Champs,Pacific Regional Champs and made it to the Nationals in Florida. I have FAITH in the coaching staff and know it will get better from this day forward. Stay positive for our BOYS and BELIEVE!

Thanks for a GREAT showing yesterday in our scrimmage against Kearny; this is for the players and the parents. Parents, it is so important that you continue to show our kids the support you've shown them so far. Players, we are very proud of how you played yesterday; you all showed the heart of a real champion. When things didn't look like it was going the way we wanted it to go, you ALL stepped up and made things go the way we wanted. We all believe in you and it's good to know that you all believe in each other. Great job!!! Let's do the same thing again this up-coming week, when we scrimmage Clairemont on Thursday and in our pre-season game against Skyline on Saturday.

To all of you who got the chance to go, hopefully you had fun and came away with some helpful tips. Enjoy these years and learn as much as possible. When there is a camp, try to go and put your name out there, along with Mira Mesa Football; you never know who might be looking at you.
We have one more sign-up, for those players who have signed up and your team still has spots available; go out and recruit...it's never to late.
Don't forget about the Martin Bayless & La'Roi Glover Camp, it's this coming Saturday and Sunday at Southwestern College...the place that all of our playoff eligible teams will be at in November.

I'm always on the San Diego Youth Football website and a lot of the teams don't have websites that work, it's very important to get the information out to our parents and kids; I believe you're doing a great job!!! Two more things before I go. Kids if you know someone who lives up in the Mira Mesa area and they seem to be fast or know a lot about football, try and talk them into coming out; you never know what football talent might be playing with you everyday!!! Last but not least, the rumor is that we have some kids in our area that are stars; but they play for other teams...if you know these players, let them know that Mira Mesa is the place to be; let them know about our high school team and compare them to other high school's in San Diego. We need our talent to stay here, where it belongs!!! |

Entry ID: 1013731 | Congrats to the PEE WEE CHARGERS. No matter what anyone says, we have a great bunch of boys, coaches, and parents! It showed with all the families that went to Florida. We had a blast! We all stand behind our boys and are very proud. I know we left a mark in Florida. Our boys may have been one of the smallest teams in size, but we sure did have the biggest hearts. We can hold our heads up high and be proud of our great season. One family, one purpose! CHARGERS, YOU KNOW!!!! |
