Congratulations to the Varsity Team on making it to the big show,
State Finals, first time in school history. The outcome was not what we
wanted or expected but it was truely a great year for Walkersville Lacrosse. I could not be any prouder of what this team and program has accomplished this season. I hope everyone will be able to make our banquet next week to celebrate our success.
I will be collecting all equipment, uniforms, sweats, jackets and any other items belonging to the High School on Tuesday, May 27th from 5:00pm till 6:00pm. All varsity and any JV players who have not turned in there gear should do so at this time. Failure to turn in all items on this day and time will result in the School sending you a bill for the replacement value.
Also, the Lacrosse Banquet will take place on Thursday, May 29th at the
Morningside Inn. We have a lot to celebrate. I hope all the players and
their families will be able to join us at that time.

WHS VICTORY OVER CENTENNIAL!!!

It's on to UMBC for the Varsity Team! The Lions beat Centennial 21-11 sending them packing home for the season in the State semi-finals. WHS will play the winner of the Hereford vs. Kent Island game for the State Championship on Tuesday at the UMBC Stadium. HOW COOL IS THAT?!!!

The WHS 2008 Varisty Lacrosse team is both the Piedmont Conference Champions and the 2A/3A West Regional Champions. We could go all the way!!!
VARSITY GAME RESULTS:
3/25-WHS starts the regular season beating Tuscarora 19-9 (Freshman goalie Riggin Koontz saves 66.7%)
3/27-WHS beats Catoctin 20-6 (Chad has 6 goals, 8 assists)
4/1-WHS lost to Urbana
4/3-WHS beats South Hagerstown (hat tricks for Shaun, Brian and Troy)
4/8-WHS beats Linganore 12-3 (Will saves 80%)
4/10-WHS beats Frederick 11-6 (Chris 71% on face-offs, Jon assists)

4/17-WHS beats N. Hagerstown 15-0

All: The 2nd Annual Walkersville High Alumni Game will take place on Saturday, May 24, 2008 starting at 11:00am at Heritage Farm Park. Please
see attached for details. Please forward on this e-mail to any lacrosse
alumni that you have an e-mail address for. Last year we had around 30
players. Lets get the word out so we can increase the numbers, just in case the weather is warm that day.
Randy Richter will once again be cooking for all, this years menu will
