Indiana law concerning seat belts?
Indiana has a standard or primary seat
belt law. You can be stopped and ticketed for failing to wear your seat belt.
What is the Indiana law concerning child
restraints?
Children up to the age of four must be properly secured in a child
passenger restraint system in all seating positions. Children from age four up
to age 12 must be properly secured by a child passenger restraint system or
seat belt in all seating positions. It is strongly recommended all children be
placed in the rear seat of the vehicle, where it is safest.
INDIANA CHILD PASSENGER LAW (Effective July
1, 2005)
Indiana State Law requires that as of July 1, 2005, all children ride
properly fastened by a child restraint, which can include
a belt-positioning booster seat, until their 8th birthday.

and 40-80 pounds and up to 4'9" tall
