Educational Facilities

Having worked with more than 30 school districts on Long Island, Michael J.Guido is conscious of taxpayers’ concerns about the cost of construction. Whether replacing a boiler, a roof, renovating a science lab or library, or constructing new educational space, the design should be efficient, plans should be accurate and materials should be of the finest quality. The finished product must function as expected and endure.

Mr. Guido’s reputation as a project architect for Long Island schools is second to none. In projects ranging from a new middle school to additions up to 40,000 sq. ft., his educational designs have improved learning environments for Long Island students for over 16 years. In addition to classrooms at every grade level, his work includes upgraded science and computer labs, libraries, cafeterias and kitchens, auditoriums and athletic facilities.

Reconstruction projects include a range of necessary upgrades: boilers, roof replacements, windows, doors, ADA upgrades, lockers, gym floors, athletic fields, solar panels, paving and many others. Mr. Guido is certified in New York State Asbestos Project Design. He also has experience with local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN) and energy performance contracts. He remains focused on school safety, security and vulnerability and offers a wide range of security assessment services.

KERI HERON

HOMEOWNER

“I have had the pleasure of working with Mike Guido over the past 15 years, at two Long Island school districts, on projects totaling over $80 million. He brought the same level of skill and professionalism to all of these projects from a single roof project to building an entire school. He is sensitive to the economic considerations of the community while striving for the best educational environment for students, faculty, and staff. Mike’s expertise allows him to bring projects in on time, within budget, while being responsive in assisting management with state and local government policies and procedures. It is without reservation that I recommend Mike Guido as a school district architect.”

MARIANNE F. CARTISANO
