    Feburary 2, 2008 (San Francisco, CA) - Hello and welcome!! We are a Non-Profit Organization (NPO) with the intention of developing amateur baseball athletes into quality players. Bay Area Giants consists of chosen players from various colleges/universities as well as foreign players with the passion to play baseball. Players are drilled in the fundamentals of hitting, fielding, base running, and other important mental aspects of what it takes to be a successful athletes both on and off the diamond. We are an all wood bat team during May through July.

    The 2008 season for the Bay Area Giants is on the way and we are always looking for your genours support for young athletes. If you have any interest or questions, please contact Head Coach George Elsner via E-MAIL

    Double Header against Solano Mudcats on July 6 this Sunday
    July 5, 2008 - Bay Area Giants will travel notheast from San Francisco to take Salano Mudcats at Will C. Wood High School on July 6, 2007. It is going to be our league games and this will be critical games for us. It is also very hot day at Salano, so please be prepared for the heated battle.     Best In The West Tournament is Now Ahead of Giants starting Wednesday
    June 13, 2008 - Bay Area Giants will wrap up another busy week and head to the Best In The West Tournament from Wednesday June 25th at Santa Clara University. The opening game for the tournament is scheduled to start at 6:00 p.m. against hosting Maxim Yankees. The tournament has become the 2nd largest summer collegiate wood bat tournament in the country (next to the NBC World Series) and is considered one of the best in the U.S. This yearfs winner could possibly win a bid to the 2008 NBC World Series in Wichita, Kansas.     Bay Area Giants Have Teamed Up with MVP Arena As the Official Training Center

    May 24, 2008 - Bay Area Giants has teamed up with MVP Arena as the official team training center. All player has a chance to strive their batting skill with state-of-art batting cage. Coach Elsner stated "this is very exciting oppotunity for all of us and for a team. We thank MVP Arena for their contribution". MVP Arena is located at 696 E. Trimble Rd.     Chevys Fundrasing Night on Monday June 16th from 4pm-10pm
    May 23, 2008 - Bay Area Giants will host fundrasing event at Chevys over Stonestown Galleria San Francisco on Friday June 16th 2008 between 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Please invite your friends and family to Chevy and simply present this form to your host.     Another Busy Weekend Ahead Saturday vs. Oakland Expos and Sunday vs. Fairfield Indians

    June 13, 2008 - Bay Area Giants will have another busy weekend ahead. A double header against Oakland Expos on Suturday is scheduled to start at 11:00 a.m. at Diablo Valley College. Another double header against Fairfield Indians on Sunday is scheduled to start at 12:00 p.m. over Balboa park. Bay Area Giants split the earlier games with 1-1 in this season and look for a strong result with 2-4 in our league games so far in this season.

    Busy Week Ahead, Clovis Outlaws on June 10, 11, and 12 next weekday

    June 6, 2008 - Bay Area Giants will spend busy weeks ahaed and travel souteast to take Clovis Outlaws on June 10, 11, and 12 (Tuesday through Thursday) during mid-week after spending back-to-back double header over weekend. The first game is scheduled to start at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday and first pitch is slotted to be 7:00 p.m. and 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday and Thursday respectively. All player must be arrived and ready to check in by 3:00 p.m. at a designated accommodation site below.

    Sunday Double Header against Seagulls is Added to Our Schedule This Weekend

    June 3, 2008 - The Bay Area Giants added a double header game on this coming Sunday June 8th against San Francisco rival Seagulls. The first pitch of the first game is scheduled to start at 11:00 a.m. at Balboa park. "Summer is the time for us to play and get better. Anytime we can add games, we should take advantage of it. Please mark your calendar for this exciting rival game" said coach Elsner.

    Double Header at Navato Knicks for League Game

    June 2, 2008 - The Bay Area Giants will travel north to take a field agaisnt Navato Knicks for league match this Saturday, June 7th. The double header game is scheduled to start at 11:00 a.m.

    Seagulls at Balboa Park This Friday from 5:30 p.m.

    June 2, 2008 - The Bay Area Giants will stay home this Friday and play against San Francisco Seagulls at Balboa park at 5:30 p.m on June 6th. "It will be great oppotunity for us to show everyone how tough we are after last weekend" said coach Elsner.

    Double Header on Sunday against Fairfield Indians at Fairfield

    May 26, 2008 - The Bay Area Giants will travel southesat to take Fairfield Indians for a double header game at Alen Witt Park in Fairfield on June 1st 2008. "It will be a busy weekend for us to have two back-to-back double headers in two days, but it would be good challenge for us to test our toughness in this season" said coach Elsner. The first game is scheduled to start at 3:00 p.m.

    Giants split the overall record against Pioneers with 8-8. All player must arrive in designated time for warm up to Allen Witt Park. Click the link of Allen Witt Park for the direction to the ballpark.



    Home opener is on May 31st against Folsom

    May 25, 2008 - The Bay Area Giants will host the fist home games in 2008 season at Big Rec over Golden Gate Park against Folsom Pioneers on May 31st 2008. The game is scheduled to start at 11:00 a.m. for the first game and the second game will start approximately 30 minutes after conclusion of the first game.

    Giants has 6-2 edge overall over Pioneers. After double header on Saturday, Giants travel northeast to have another double header over Fairfield Indians.



    Memorial Day Weekend Battle against San Luis Obispo Blues on May 25 and 26

    May 22, 2008 - Bay Area Giants is visiting San Luis Obispo Blues for their 2008 Opening Season forth straight year. Series against San Luis Obispo begins at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 25th. Please bring both gray & white baseball pants and a hat. Every player is encouraged to share the ride to San Luis Obispo. Most importantly, every staff and player must arrive before 3:00 p.m. over hotel on Sunday and wait for Coach George Elsner for group check-in.

    San Jose Fontanettis Canceled and Forfiet Game, Practice Today 5/23/08 Big Rec 5:00pm

    May 20, 2008 - The SJ Fontanitte have canceled the season opener which consist of a forfiet due to not allowing a team 48hrs notice. The Giants will have Baseball Practice in San Francisco at Big Rec 5:00pm Today 5/23/08.



    Bay Area Giants Successfully Ended 2007 Summer Season

    August 1, 2007 - The Bay Area Giants fell short as only one game behind for play off hunt and ended 2007 summer season with 12-8 in league match. "It was the tremendous season this year and we are looking forward to next season" said Coach Elsner.

    Ryan Silver from SFSU received the Batting Title. Will Mcglouglin from Menlo College played every sigle game and named to be Iron Man. Nick Fantiganilo from Balboa High School has Rookie of the year and recieved full-scholorship to MVSU. Wes Yee from College of Marin will be attending Patten University, most promising. Johnathen Overall from Patten University is given Gold Glove award. Anthony Edwards from MVSU is honored Pitcher of the Year award with 6-2 record and 2.72 ERA. He also recieved votes for all tournament team from Central Coastal Tournament in Santa Maria.
