Billy Tafs verbally commits to Vipers for a return in 2009!!!
 
On Saturday October 25th Billy Tafs made it official,  he is returning to Vipers baseball after taking a season off.  Billy will see most of his action in the outfield but will also probably see some time behind the plate when called upon. Billy will also be looked upon as a lead-off hitter a role he once had.



 
Joe Collier verbally commits to Vipers for a return in 2009!!!
 
Fireball pitcher and 3rd baseman Joe Collier who was with Bayside in 2007 verbally commited to returning to the Vipers in 2009.
 
Collier pitched for the Proctor Padres this past season a Upper 13 rival of the Vipers and posted a 1-4 record with 3 saves with a ERA of 3.86 in 28 innings of work.  He also led the Padres with 15 RBI's and posted a .245 batting average.

HOME BOUND
In 2009 the Bayside Vipers are returning to their original home field... The Ted Whereatt field on the UWS Campus.  The Bayside Vipers would like to thank the Proctor Padres organization and the city of Proctor, MN for allowing the Vipers to host their home field games and having a home away from home for the past two seasons.






Fast Fact:  Peggy Olson (Kevin Olson's mother) was voted the 2007 fan of the year
