All registrations are taken at the recreation department located at 37 East Woodrow Ave, Belmont, NC 28012. Normal office hours are Monday - Thursday 8am to 8pm, Friday 8am to 5pm, and Saturday 9am - 12pm.

REGISTRATION
Registration for youth girls’ volleyball will be the month of February 2008.
MATCHES AND AGE GROUPS
A. AGE GROUPS:
Diggers – 9yr olds to 11 yr olds
Spikers – 12 yr olds to 15 yr olds
Players may be moved up or down based on ability.
B: MATCHES: Games will be played to 15 or 25 points
COACHES NEEDED
The Recreation Dept will need a volunteer coach for each team formed. Coaches will get a discount on the registration fee if they signup to coach at the time they register their child.
PLAYER EQUIPMENT
A. A player shall not wear anything that is dangerous to another player
B. The players may wear non marking sneakers.
C. Knee pads are suggested.
PRACTICES/GAMES
A. Practices and games will be held at the Belmont Middle School Gym
B. All practices and games will be held on Mondays for the Diggers and Tuesdays for the Spikers beginning at 6:30pm.
C. Practice will begin March 10 for the Diggers and March 11 for the Spikers. All participants will need to attend these dates. Games will begin the week of March 30. The season will end approx. the week of May 13.
D. Game will be round robin each Monday or Tuesday. A practice will either precede or follow the game.
FEES
A. The registration fee covers the players’ shirt, awards, end of season party, scorekeepers, gym maintenance, accessories and equipment cost. The fee does not include shorts.
B. The registration fee is $20 in-city and $40 out-of-city.
C. No refund will be given after the registration date has expired. If a player drops out after this point the uniform, trophy, and banquet will be forfeited.
Please help us keep the facilities clean by picking up trash after the practices and games.
