Blackhawks playoff run ends with dramatic 4-2 loss to MTK! In the most dramatic game of their season, the Hawks were defending a 2-1 lead in the final minutes of the 3rd period and potentially on their way to the second round of the playoffs. However, against the #1 team and one of the top offense in the league, every second of play counts. Good job Hawks, you can keep your heads up. You went head-to-head against the top team and kept them guessing right to the very end. It is very sad that's it's over after only 1 loss, but that's the playoff format. GO HAWKS GO!

Blackhawks tie MTK 3-3 in 2nd game of quarter final! After 90 minutes of play, there is still no clear leader in this series. It will be up for grabs once again this Tuesday in Carleton Place. GO HAWKS GO!

FYI here are the league playoff rules Quarter Final and Semi Final rounds: Best two out of three games - ties will count. First team to achieve four points. If a fourth game is required, sudden death overtime will be invoked
Final round: Two wins will establish champion. Tied games will not count. If a winner has not been declared after the second game, all subsequent games must have provisions for sudden death overtime. GO HAWKS GO!

Blackhawks tie MTK in 1st game of quarter final! Wow! The Blackhawks family showed true grit & determination last night. The parents overcame disastrous traffic and road conditions to get the players to Almonte on time. It was a race against the clock, the last players got to the dressing room 15 minutes before game time and a few got on the ice in the middle of the 3 minute pre-game warm-up! The first period was a bit unsettling for all as MTK quickly took a 2-0 lead, but the players showed great composure & determination in sticking to the game plan established by the coaching staff. Their efforts were rewarded and they overcame the 0-2 deficit. With 4 minutes to go in the game, the score was tied 2-2 and both teams had great chances to capture the win. The game would remain tied, but the Hawks earned a tie and the opportunity to extend this series to at least three games. Hats-off to the entire Blackhawks family for their efforts! GO HAWKS GO!

Blackhawks to meet MTK in 1st round of playoffs. The results are now official. In a suprising twist, the Nepan Raiders won their last season game vs MTK and took 7th place from us. They have the same number of points, but have one more win. We therefore finish in 8th place and will meet the 1st place team in the initial round of playoffs. The first game of this series is Tuesday February 19th @ 7h30PM in Almonte. The itinerary to this arena has been posted in the directions section. . GO HAWKS GO!

Blackhawks attend Senators practice to pick-up some tips! The Blackhawks had the privilege to attend the game day practice of the Ottawa Senators today as guests of #10 Sean Donovan. Thanks to the Xatruch family for the unique opportunity! GO HAWKS GO!
