Last year, we brought home a trophy for 5th place in our marching division,
this year WE ARE GOING FOR 1ST!!

The Halloween Parade will be held on Friday October 31st
(If postponed the date will be November 1st)

Players wishing to march in the Parade must hand in a signed permission slip to their coaches no later than Saturday October 25th – after that date, the player’s parent or guardian must bring permission slip with them the night of the parade.

What Time?
Players report to the Kohls parking lot at 6pm

What to wear?
Players should wear their league shirts OUTSIDE of their coats/sweatshirts (if possible) and wear comfortable shoes (preferably sneakers – NO CLEATS).
If the weather is chilly, be sure to bring a hat and gloves/mittens to keep warm!

Parents are strongly encouraged to march with their players, coaches will be marching, however, they will not be responsible for all the children.

NOTE: All players MUST be picked up at the end of the parade route (near the Ocean County Courthouse) when we are finished marching. Coaches are not responsible for caring for players until the end of the parade.

The K Factor
Hi, my name is Melissa and I am writing to inform you of a very special event that is to soon take place in our area. We all know this is an exciting year in our softball communities. The Olympic games are right around the corner and I am sure you and your kids are just as excited to watch the USA team as I am. As we all know they have decided to take softball out of the Olympics. Hopefully the decision will some day be overturned, but as for now this is how it stands.
So let's make sure we do our part and support our girls as they compete in China in a few weeks.

It is my pleasure to announce that Monica Abbott and a few of her Olympic teammates will be conducting a "Full Softball Instructional Clinic" after the completion of the 2008 Olympic games. They will be traveling the US at different destinations. We are lucky enough to have them be stopping in our area.
On Sept. 13th, they will be making a pit stop in Staten Island, NY. The clinic will run about 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Registration will take place 1 hour before the clinic starts. The registration fee will be $125. Each attendee will also receive a T-shirt as well as an autographed photo of Monica Abbott. But more importantly each attendee will receive the chance of a lifetime and the opportunity to work with some of the best female athletes in the world. These memories they will have forever and ever.

Please forward this e-mail to any players, coaches or parents you know may want to take advantage of this opportunity. If you would like a registration form or have any questions regarding this event, please don't hesitate to contact me at tkfactor@aol.com or you can call me at 917 797 6576.

Thanks and I look forward to meeting you all at this awesome event.

Team Assignments Reminder
To All Parents,

Effective in the 2005 season, no players may switch teams or divisions after team assignments have been made. If you feel your daughter should be playing at a different level, or have any questions regarding the team/division assignments please speak to either Tina Clark or Duane DeSalvatore prior to team assignments. As a reminder, returning players who do not change divisions will remain on the same team they played on last year when possible, although the coach may change. New players and returning players that are moving to a new division based on age requirements will be placed into the lottery and assigned to a team based on lottery drawings which will take place at the March board meeting.

Please contact Laura Miranda if you or someone you know would like to sponsor a team $150 or would be interested in purchasing a sign $250.
Also, If you are interested in helping assist on the Fundraiser committee please contact Laura Miranda 732-558-5272 or Email :LAURAJEANSI@aol.com
