Policy Statement
May 22 '08 - Message from the President of Babe Ruth, Building Excellence In Sports
The primary goal of the Brick American Baseball League parallels the principals set forth in the Babe Ruth League Rule book. The Babe Ruth League is a youth baseball service program. It is structured to provide an outlet for healthy activity and training by utilizing quality leadership and community participation. The organization is dedicated to helping children become good citizens. It inspires them to set goals and establishes the foundations of teamwork and fair play.
Our goal, as member volunteers, is to teach the fundamental skills, basic strategies, safety awareness and rules of the game of baseball. We will strive to develop an attitude of respect from players toward coaches, opponents, umpires, parents, teammates and fans. Our adherence to the Babe Ruth League philosophy and principals will ensure our league of having the best managers, coaches and players.

Brooklyn Dodgers - The Captain "Pee Wee Reese"
Click here for short biography on "The Captain"
"Against all odds, Pee Wee Reese earned an opportunity to play professional baseball, start for the Dodgers, play in several World Series, and be enshrined in the Hall of Fame. He did the little things that helped his teams win: bunt the runner over, go from first to third on a base hit, or range into the hole for a grounder. He was the best shortstop in the National League in the late 1940s and into the 1950s."
- TheBaseballPage.com
"Brooklyn was the most wonderful city a man could play in, and the fans there were the most loyal there were." Reese
"If I had my career to play over, one thing I'd do differently is swing more. Those 1,200 walks I got, nobody remembers them." Reese
