BTSA Intramural [Rec Program] Soccer Rules & Scoring and Standings Rules

* U7 Half sided fields
1) Players play 6v6
2) 1 goalie and 5 field players
3) There are no off-sides
4) There are Corner Kicks and Goal Kicks
5) Subs can be made on any throw-in from any team when ball goes out of bounds(regardless of what team kicked the ball out of bounds) , on a goal kick, or start play after a goal is scored. No subs can be made on a corner kick.
6) There are no penalty kicks. ( No hand balls, accidental is ok for this age but a player who deliberatly catches the ball who is not the goalie is not allowed). A FREE KICK is awarded to the other team 10 yards from the goal (if caught in the goal box). The other team players are allowed to make a wall. A FREE KICK can be awarded to any part of the field when this has occured. PLAYERS MUST BE TAUGHT NOT TO USE THEIR HANDS.
This is the only type of penalty kick besides not adhering to the rules of conduct ( fighting, kicking, etc...).

*U8-U12 3/4 Fields
1) Players are 8v8
2) 1 goalie and 7 field players
3) FIFA rules apply
4) There is offsides
5) There are corner kicks and goal kicks
6) Subs can be made on a throw-in ( when a team kicks the ball out of bounds the throw-in is made by the other team
and only that team gets the substitution).
Any substitution can be made by any team on any goal kick or kick-off. No subs can be made on a corner kick.
7) There are penalty kicks (FIFA RULES APPLY).

REC Standings/Scoring:
A) A point system for standings will be used as follows: 3 points for a win, one point for a tie, and no points for a loss.
B) Tie games will stand in regular season play. No overtime shall be played.
C) Wins/Losses/Ties will be reported at end of game. Goals will not be recorded or tracked.
D) Ties in standings will stand as they are.
