BROOKLIN/WHITBY FALL CLASSIC TOURNAMENT
The BROOKLIN DODGERS along with Walker Conference rival Whitby Chiefs will be hosting their annual Fall Classic Tournament this coming weekend in Clarington, Ontario. The dates of the tournament are October 18th and 19th.
Tournament organizers are hoping for the weather to be a little better this year compared to last years, when the cold temperature made playing a little difficult.
There have a been a few changes to the tournament this year. For starters it will be a wood bat only tournament, which we hope will make for an even more exciting series of games over the weekend. The two other major changes are that the batting order will be a 10 man batting order and a re-entry rule, using the same rules as OSBA does with a 12 man order.
The teams taking part in this years FALL CLASSIC will be the host Brooklin Dodgers and Whitby Chiefs, as well as fellow OSBA teams the Burlington Bulls (2007 Fall Classic Champions), Mississauga Stars (2007 Fall Classic Finalist) and Durham Chiefs. Teams taking part from outside OSBA are York Diamonds, Thornhill and the Burlington Bandits.
The Full schedule is listed below, please check back regularly for scores and updates as the tournament progresses.
