Blast T-Ball Rules

Use Blast Ball equipment (foam bat & ball)

Home team for the first game of the day sets up bases and home team for the last game of the day puts the bases away.

Hit off tee

Discourage throwing the bat – teach this fundamental

All players on the field, if they wish, when other team is batting

Begin to teach Positioning, i.e. 1^st Base, 2^nd Base, etc.

If the ball is hit and does not leave the circle, continue batting

Run all 4 bases – T-Ball field layout

Coaches please move tee if runner is approaching home plate

Bat entire side, then switch

Fielders throw to “Pitcher”, Catcher, or Infielder playing base

(at advancing runner)

Acknowledge Outs, but runners do not have to leave field unless it's the last out; you may want to send them around to home base

Teams play 2-3 innings – all players should bat at least twice

No formal scoring – totally non-competitive

In the event that 1 team shows up with much less players than the other, OK to swap a few players during batting to even out sides – up to the coaches

Players and Coaches line up on 1^st and 3^rd base lines to Slap Hands after game is over
