5th Place @ Western Worlds
Well Casoul, we played pretty well with the team we had taken up to Western Worlds. 5th place out of 49 teams isnt to bad. Sat was a pretty good day for us till the last game where we came up a little short at the end, but the team who beat us in the 1st game ended up taking 2nd place so i guess if you had to lose, lose to somebody who did well in the tourny. Sun started out well with a 7-0 victory over Orange Crush, and then we had some costly errors againist Gang a Heat, and dropped that game. But overall it was a good tourny, we played well. Up next is the Suds tounry in South Lake Tahoe. Go and Defend the title.

Western Qualifier Champs
Casoul takes another tourney in Hayward going 4-0. In our first team tourney since Lil Danny passed away Casoul came out to play Beating Bi-polar in the 1st game by 4, then meet up with the Goodfellas, who really didn’t come out to play, and in the Winners final game Gang a Heat came out and us up on early and often as we had to come back in the bottom of the 6th with time already expired and down by 5 runs, we came out and put up 2 runs, then with 2 outs Edwin got a key double, who was followed by Brian Pacis being walked to get the force play scenario in play, JV comes up and was very patient and drew a walk to set up bases loaded.. and Jimbo comes up in a pinch hit role and hits a bases clearing double over the right fielders head to win the game!!! And then we went to the Ship against Bi-Polar again, this time it wasn’t even close as we put them away early scoring all over the place final in that game was 23-8.

R.I.P Danny you will be truly missed and loved. From the Players and family Of Casoul.
The Death of Danny came as a shock to all of us. Danny was such a great teammate and friend to everybody he knew. I will miss watching him turn his unbelieveable Double plays or even the plays where nobody could get. He was a leader on and off the field to his teammates. Danny will be truley missed and we all love you man, nobody will ever be able to replace you. R.I.P Danny Boy.
Triple Crown Pinnacle Tounry Champs
Triple Crown Tourny Champs!!! 2 out of the last 4 yrs. What a great tourny we had. With only 8 teams that had qualified, we knew going into the tournament that we had a really great shot of winning even though we were missing 5 key players Jerry, Danny, Ricky, Joe, and Marvin who was there but was inable to play much due to a Dislocated shoulder. We did however pick up one of the old Casoul/most wanted players Jerome who by the way played very good through out the tournament by making some great catches and timely hitting. Our 1st game saw action against a team out of New Mexico called T2 Scorpions. The game really wasn’t that close as we took the lead from the 1st inning and never gave it back our defense stepped up and turned 4 double plays which was key since our batting was so good that we hit a couple of homeruns, one that cost us an out and the other cost us the inning. Darryl was named player of the game as he started 3 of the double plays and came up with a couple of base hits.
The 2nd game we matched up with a team from Colorado called Redrum. This was a better game both offensively and defensively as had to battle back and take the lead after a couple of great innings of hitting. The player of the game was Jesse Mata who had some great hits and played good defense.
The 3rd game we had was a team called Camp Steele out of Utah. We knew that we wouldn’t have much problem as they showed up about 30sec before the game..LOL but in the top of the 1st with bases loaded we some managed to hit 2 homeruns which left us with no runs scored, but our defense came up big and held them to a big Goose egg. We ended up scoring a bunch of runs that game (12 in the top of the 7th alone). Player of the games was Dale Synder.
The 4th and final game was the Championship game with Team Ultra out of Florida. This game was strange as Team Ultra only had 9 players therefore they had an out every 10th batter (which later helped us). This was a big defensive game as both teams forgot to hit. The final Score ended up being 4-5 with Team Casoul taking the victory.
All-Americans for the tournament were Jesse, Darryl, Mike, and Dale who by the way was also selected as MVP of the tournament.. Overall it was a great tournament and we all had a great time.
As a Team we batted .584 not to bad..
South Lake Tahoe "SUDS" Tourny Champ's
Tourny Champs.. 6-0 Great tourny boys!!! We played some great softball this weekend with timely hitting and great defense. We had to come back and win 2 games in our last At bats. As a team we batted .692 for the whole weekend, now thats some good hitting. Lorenzo was voted MVP for the tourny batting a whole .933 he was 14-15. ( I was missing the first games Stats, but cant remember him making an out.) I also want to say thank you that all of the Wives, Girlfriends and kids that came out all weekend to watch and support us, without all of you this wouldn't be possible.
