Kami's Jammies Fundraiser
As most of you know, our family lost our granddaughter, Kamryn Lambert, last summer after a 3 year battle with leukemia. She was a cheerleader and her brother CJ is a football player for your organization.
We have started a program called Kami's Jammies, that provides pajamas and other entertainment items to the children who are inpatient at the University of Maryland Hospital for Children. This program is a legacy to Kamryn, who spent many days and weeks as an inpatient at this hospital. Her flair for fashion carried over into her choice of PJ's and nightgowns that she wore in place of the hospital gowns.
We will be holding a fundraiser on Friday, June 27, 2008.
All proceeds will go to the purchase of new pajamas so that services can be extended to other area hospitals.
The 1st Annual Kami's Jammies PJ party will be held at the Key West-BWI Ramada from 8:30 pm to 12:30 am.
Tickets are $45.00 per person and includes Food, Open Bar, and an International Dessert and Coffee Station.
There will be live music by Severn Run, complimentary spa services, raffles and games, including a Guitar Hero Challenge by local celebrities that include Jo-Jo Gerard from MIX 106.5 and the Fighting Ungers from WNST Sports Talk Radio.
Tickets will be on sale though June 19, 2008.
Anyone who purchases a table of 10 tickets or brings a pair of new pajamas to the event, will be entered into a raffle for an Ocean City package that includes a stay at the Princess Royale, a gift certificate to Fager's Island and passes for Miniature Golf,
Pajamas are optional but definitely encouraged.
Please contact Debi Katzenberger at 360-1054 or deblkatz@aol.com for more information and to purchase tickets.
If there are other clubs or friends that you think might be interested, Please pass this on. We are really in crisis mode with ticket sales and need all the assistance we can find.
Thanks
Debi Katzenberger
