IF YOU ARE PARTICIPATING IN THE DUAL, BUT NOT ATTENDING REGIONALS YOUR EQUIPMENT SHOULD BE TURNED IN ON TUESDAY NIGHT FEB. 19 AFTER YOU HAVE WRESTLED.
IF YOU ARE PARTICIPATING IN REGIONALS/SECTIONALS YOU SHOULD TURN IN YOUR EQUIPMENT WHEN YOU ARE DONE WRESTLING THAT DAY.
COLLECTING AT THIS TIME WILL PREVENT EXTRA PHONE CALLS AND TIME TRYING TO GET EQUIPMENT BACK AFTER THE SEASON IS OVER.
WE WILL WASH SINGLETS AND PUT AWAY FOR STORAGE!

ABOUT OUR WRESTLING CLUB
Our club is a non-profit group sanctioned by the Illinois Kids Wrestling Federation (IKWF). We teach competitive wrestling in a fun and supportive atmosphere. Our coaches strive to teach individuals/the team the sport of wrestling. We hope to guide them in learning from their experiences on the mat whether they win or lose. Confidence, Character, Team Spirit, Sportsmanship, and more...can all be gained from the wrestler’s experiences. The coaches strive to give the wrestlers a good foundation of wrestling knowledge to carry with them and build on in Jr. High and High School.
Boys and girls age 5 years through 5th grade and anyone not enrolled in the school district through 14 years of age are invited to join our club.
Registration is held in late October each season.
We require that parents are present at practices for children 8 years and younger.
Parents with older wrestlers...it is very helpful if you come in at the beginning and end of practices to catch announcements.
Practices are held on Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Practices are held in the West gym of the High School. If a conflict arises and the H.S. is unavailable we will try to have at the Jr. High.
Tournaments are attended most weekends around the area. We encourage the attendance to these meets because we feel the wrestler gains the most experience from their individual match and are able to utilize the hard work they have invested in practice.
Our home tournament to be held Sunday, December 16, 2007 is our biggest fundraiser of the season. Our parents/volunteers have always met our expectations in volunteering on this day to help run a successful tournament for our visitors! EVERYONES help is needed & greatly appreciated each year!
The season runs from November through early March.
