Our Mission
The Connecticut (CT) Heat Girls AAU Basketball club is committed to assisting female student athletes ages 9 through 16 in improving their individual basketball skills by providing knowledgeable coaching along with the opportunity to play with and against the highest level of competition. An equally important goal of the club is to develop character, teamwork, and sportsmanship in an enjoyable basketball environment. Players also develop new friendships established through the travel and competitive experience.
The Heat will also provide those girls who wish to pursue basketball in college the opportunity to demonstrate their basketball abilities at AAU tournaments which are attended at times by college coaches and recruiters. In this regard, the Heat will participate in selected tournaments in an eleven state region consisting of New England, CT, Adirondack, other New York districts and the Middle Atlantic States as well as potentially the National AAU tournaments.
The Connecticut Heat is headquartered in Central Connecticut (New Britain, Newington, and Wethersfield), USA and is registered with the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) as part of the Connecticut District Association (CTD - Organized September 17, 1929). The Connecticut HEAT is looking for dedicated, hardworking young ladies from ages 9 to 16. We look forward to creating the best basketball learning environment for all of our members.
