About us:
Dayton Summer Recreation, Inc (DSR) provides youth baseball, softball and T-ball programs for young athletes in the Dayton Elementary and Wainwright Middle School areas. Our non-profit organization provides a summer league for nearly 250 youth. Our goal is to provide fun, recreation, and instill a spirit of teamwork and sportsmanship through our summer baseball and softball programs.
Our three-field ballpark is located just behind Dayton Elementary School in Dayton, Indiana. We are home to teams playing under the Dayton Bulldogs, Wainwright Mustangs and McCutcheon Mavericks colors.
We are also in the process of constructing a softball field at Wainwright Middle School. This field will be maintained by us and used for our Minors, and possibly Juniors teams.
Board Elections
November 11, 2008 - 06:00 PM
Dayton Summer Recreation, Inc (DSR) will be holding board member and volunteers elections for the 2009 season. Elections will be on Tuesday, November 11th at 6:00 PM and will be held in the “Loft” of the Faith Community Center. If you had a player in the DSR program last season, you are eligible to vote.
All positions are up for re-election annually. However, we do have specific needs for: Secretary, T-ball Director, Treasurer and Concession Coordinator. If you would like to be considered for any position on the DSR board, please contact Joe Sutton at 447-6478. Nominations and volunteers will be taken the night of the meeting as well.
