Coach Gannon is in her 4th year coaching with FSLAX and has worked under Coach Bill Sardella for the past 3 years in developing the 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 classes. She has been instrumental in leading those teams in defensive techniques and strategies. Lauren and Coach Lindsey Coon played together on the FSLAX 2007 team.
Lauren was a highly decorated player who graduated from Urbana in 2007 and was part of the 2005 State Finalist Team. She went on to play 4 years of Division I lacrosse at George Mason, starting at close defense for 3 years helping her team to a #9 National ranking in 2008. Lauren also achieved Dean’s List in her Jr. and Sr. years as well as earning the Colonial Athletic Association Commissioner’s Award 4 years in a row.
At Urbana, she played 4 year of lacrosse and field hockey.... Captain of the lacrosse team and Most Valuable Defender in 2007... Captain of the field hockey team in 2007... First-Team All-County in 2006, 2007... Second-Team MVAL in 2006, 2007... 4 year member of FSLAX... First-Team All-Galaxy League 2006 and Second-Team All-Galaxy 2005... USLAX Mid Atlantic National Team 4... 2 time USLAX Academic All-American.
