Coach Montgomery is a graduate Emporia State University in Kansas, where he played football and baseball. This is his 26th year of teaching/coaching. Coach Montgomery coaches at Lake Travis Middle School where he teaches 7th grade Texas History. Mike is married to his wife Benita, and they have 2 sons, Matthew and Nicholas. Matthew is 25 and is a Firemen/EMT. Nicholas is 22 and attends Middle Tennessee State where he pitches for the Blue Raiders. For the past 3 summers Coach Montgomery has been the Head Coach/Pitching Coach for the Lake Erie Monarchs, a division of the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League. He plans to return there next summer.
Coach Montgomery will assist the JVI & JVII Cavalier Baseball teams as their pitching coach.
