Coach Robert Rayos attended high school in Pecos, Texas where he played football, basketball and baseball. He is a 1989 graduate of The University of Texas at Austin. Prior to coming to Lake Travis, Coach Rayos was the Head Baseball Coach at Bay City High School for 10 years with a record of 252-113. He was at Bay City High School for a total of 21 years, where he also was an Assistant Football (defensive coordinator) and Baseball Coach. This will be coach Rayos’ third year with the Lake Travis Baseball program and he will coach the Junior Varsity II team. Coach Rayos is also the Defensive Tackle coach for the LT Varsity football team and teaches Biology.
Coach Rayos’ wife, Maria is the Attendance Clerk here at Lake Travis High School, they have three children. Son, X-avier whom lives in Bay City with wife Rebecca and their 4½ year old daughter Hailey Michelle Rayos. Daughter, Marisa, is 22 years old and attends Texas State University in San Marcos and graduating in December. They also have a 15 year old son, Robert-Lee, who attends Lake Travis High School.
