| Forum Guidelines Information | |
Principles of forum use:
1. We don't allow any profanity or other offensive language on the forum.
2. Constructive suggestions are fine but grievances are divisive and should be handled by email.
3. Riders of all political and religious convictions are welcome in this club. But these can also be very divisive subjects. So in the spirit of unity we ask that you understand,.. this forum is not the proper place to promote any particular philosophy or theories on these subjects.
If you post something that seems to violate any of these principles, you will be contacted by email about it and we will take whatever other action seems appropriate at the time..

A NOTE ABOUT BENEFIT RIDES:
Although we would like to support all benefit rides, there are simply too many of them for us to do so. As a club, our club rides take precedence over all other rides. If there is a benefit ride posted that you do not wish to attend, please feel free to post and lead a club ride for that same day. Attendance at benefit rides are an individual decision. Club members should feel free to decide which rides are best suited to their preferences and schedules and choose accordingly.
In addition we would like to point out that our club does support 5 benefit rides. We support the rides that our club members organize and lead. Tom, Rick, and Raymond each have had them in the past and we will support them again this year if they have one. We also support the Riley hospital ride in Indy and the St. Jude's ride in Memphis. If any of our other members are deeply involved and committed to some other benefit ride not listed here, then we may want to support that also. But it is preferable that most benefit rides do not get posted on our forum. Our web site, that we pay for, is here to promote our club activities, mainly FREE rides. On the other hand, we don't want to make any hard and fast rules about this either. If there is some benefit ride that you feel strongly about and if you post it on the forum, it will not be removed. But we hope not to see these posted on top of club rides or several days in advance of a weekend where we might have a club ride. Hope everyone will be understanding about this. |
