Two levels of play will be available in the Pony Division. SBA will sponsor Classic teams in this age group. These teams will be age-pure (only 13 year olds on some teams and 14 year olds on others), consist of players with more advanced playing skills and will play teams from Grapevine, Flower Mound, Colleyville, etc. A limited number of games will be played in Southlake. Please see the separate on Classic teams for a more detailed description. YOU MUST SPECIFICALLY SIGN YOUR CHILD UP FOR CONSIDERATION FOR CLASSIC-LEVEL PLAY AT REGISTRATION. Registering for a Classic team does not guarantee that a player will be drafted by a Classic team.
The second level of play will be the traditional, recreational format. We typically have fewer players in Pony than any age group. In order to create a more varied schedule for SBA teams, we will coordinate with the Grapevine Baseball Association and play teams from Grapevine. Games in the recreational division will be played in Southlake and Grapevine. These teams will be a mix of 13 and 14 year olds. |
