| Ages 7 and 8. Two practices/games per week. Pitching machine. New players are randomly assigned to teams. No draft or standings. Emphasis on fielding drills, proper batting stance and swing, paying attention to the game, always trying your best! Limited amount of kid-pitch is available towards end of season, for kids who can demonstrate adequate pitching ability. In general, kids who do best (and have most fun) are those who play catch and practice swinging the bat, in between practices.
