| Mustang National League Information |
| Players 9 -10 years of age. Mustang League begins the players introduction into the complete game of baseball, with no restrictions on base stealing and players begin pitching to each other. 9 players are used in the field. Bases are 60 feet apart, the Pitching rubber is 44 feet from home plate, the distance from home plate to the center of 2nd base is 84 feet. In the spring, Pitchers may not pitch in more than 3 innings in one calendar day during the regular season. They may pitch in more than one game as long as it does not exceed the 3 inning rule in one day. The pitcher may not be allowed to pitch in more than 8 innings in 1 calendar week which runs from 12:01 a.m. Monday to 12 midnight the following Sunday. Pitchers must have 40 hours rest after pitching on the same calendar day in three or more innings. The 40 hour rest rule will be computed from the scheduled starting time of the game in which the pitching occurred. As soon as a pitcher delivers one pitch in one inning the pitcher will have been considered to pitch in one inning. A regulation game will be a maximum of 6 innings, but no regulation inning (1-6) may be started after 1 hour and 50 minutes. Games can end in a tie. No team can score more than 5 runs in a regulation inning unless the umpire has declared an "open inning". The open inning will be the 6th inning or the inning in which the umpire has declared an open inning. An official game can end without an open inning ever being played. All players are in the batting lineup. Each team will be allowed a maximum of 4 coaches on the field.
