    2008 Spring Season
Welcome to the 2008 Spring season! The Driftwood Noles program is designed to allow young athletes to develop and have fun while receiving quality professional instruction in the game. We look for talented kids with great work ethic, a desire to excel, big smiles and who aren't afraid to learn to win. The Seminoles are managed by Ken Roman, and coached by Fred Siegel we are looking forward to a great year of Baseball! We hope you enjoy this site and will share it with friends and relatives.

Noles Takes the Craze by Storm
The Noles ended as the #1 seed out 14 teams in the Kendall Craze III tournament played in Tamiami & Homestead, FL. Despite the weather delays and the cancellation of the tournament, the boys were in a roll scoring 28 and allowing 4 runs in three games. The Noles put up an impressive victory against the Tamiami Nighthawks & Hammock Habana and went 3-0 in the tournament. The rest of the team played awesome as well, with some amazing plays and huge hits but one in particular that went over the fence by Cody. The Noles pitching was great by Jon, David, Tyler, Michael, and Fontanez. Great Job

Happy Thanksgiving to the Nole families from Coach Ken

Noles Take Second in Florida Premier Basebaal League
Once again the Noles made to the championship game but came short. It was a successful season taking in mind that we didn’t have a field to practice or have games. Taking all that in consideration we had a great time and I want to be the first one to congratulate you guys because you were awesome!!. We had an excellent showing thru the playoffs making it to the finals and placing 2nd in our league. I want to thank my coaches because with out them this would have been a disaster season Fred, Jimmy, Jorge and Eddie, you guys work hard by giving your all. Thanks to Benny, Ismael, Jimmy, Chucky, Fontanez, Jon, Edwin, Richard, Alex, Jorge, Enrique, Gio, and Michael. Great season; One more thing progress always involves risks. You can't steal second base and keep your foot on first.

Noles Once again on the Hunt
The Noles once again made the playoffs we had a successful winning season as you know the Noles have never miss the post season. We have great opportunity to go far in the playoffs the pitchers are rested and defensively look great now is the time to bring it home. Great Season

    Noles at Okeeheelee
Jorge came in the first with two on base in relief of Enrique and started to mow down the Crossfire. In the top of the 1st Alex hit one out of the park in Left field to take the lead. In the top 5th the Noles had Alex & Jimmy on when Fernando hit a shot over the center field fence for a homerun. Michael came in after Jorge gave us 6 2/3 innings to pop the last batter out. The Noles play good enough to win this game had great defense thru out the game to win the game. Good Job

    Noles leauge play
The Noles are playing very good baseball even thru injuries we are able to get 4 wins out of our last five games. Jimmy, Benny, Jorge, Alex, Edwin, Ismael, Jon and Chucky are pitching well enough to get the wins. Great Job

    The Noles are Hot
The Noles have not lost a step since Delaware in their first two scrimmage games against the Bengals and Lynxs at 14-U the Noles have outscored 20-1 to take the first two games. Great Work

Noles Takes Third in Delawre !!
The Noles headed to Sport at the Beach in Delaware for the Summer Classic, were 20 teams participated including some top teams from the northeast. The Noles took care of business in their first two pool games defeating the Reston Renegades, VA and Marlboro Mustangs, NJ. The next two pool games the Noles got a rude awakening thinking it was going be easy, it was a bit of a different story as the Dillsburg All Starz, PA and the Middletown Warriors, NJ took the wins. The Noles refocus and won the next three pool games by defeating Lockport Cobras, IL, Blackstone Valley Thunder, MA and Wall Baseball Club, NJ, and secured the #5 seed for the single elimination championship bracket play. The Noles got a great pitching performance in their Pool games from Fontanez, Jimmy, Jorge, Michael, Benny, Jon, Edwin, Chucky, Gio, Alex, Richie and Ismael, but the only pitcher that had a NO Hitter was Ish against the Thunder, MA. In the first playoff game the Noles faced the North Shore Vikings, NY and took the win. In the quarter-finals we faced one of the top team from Pennsylvania State College Stars it look liked a rematch of the orange bowl last year when FSU met Penn State but this day the Noles took this game. In the semi-finals, it was a rematch and we were looking forward to avenge our early loss. The Noles jumped out on the Dillsburg All Starz, PA. until the 6th inning when they took the lead with help from the umpire and held it to win the game. Despite the loss Benny was on fire allowing one run thru six innings and the defense was good. The Noles executed their offense well using a combination of bunts, hit and runs, and timely clutch hitting thru this tournament. The Noles played ten games in five days that’s right you read right ten games in five days and went 7-3 to take third. Please take the time to thank Jimmy, Jorge, Eddie and Rudy for their help during the tournament we couldn’t done it with out them.

Noles Take Second at MYBA South Florida Champions Tournament
Noles go 2-0 in pool play to set the stage for the tournament seeding: Wins vs. PPO Bengals, and Fort Lauderdale Marlins. They faced the Miami Beach Sharks in the semi-finals, taking the win. They took on the Miami Terminators in the CHAMPIONSHIP game, where Brandon, Fontanez and Michael pitched a great game while backed up by a super defense, thus falling to the Terminators by 1 run it was a great team effort! Each and every Noles athlete played great baseball this weekend with outstanding pitching performances by Chucky, Ismael, Jon, Fontanez, Benny, Alex and Michael all 3 days!

Noles Take 3rd Place in Jupiter
The Noles played great in their first 60’90 tournament. The Noles traveled up to Jupiter this weekend for the Memorial Day tournament. The Noles went 2-1 in pool play with a win over the Boca Starz and Acreage Titans. The Noles then had a great come-from-behind win over the Jupiter Hammerheads in the quarterfinals. Jimmy pitched a great game in relief Benny close the door to seal the win. The Noles took a tough loss in the semis, where couple of mental mistake in the semi-finals gave the win to Team Worth. Overall, the Noles played great baseball, pitchers were Alex, Fontanez, Michael, Jorge, Enrique, Edwin, Benny and Jimmy this player can pitch against anybody. Great Work Noles….

Noles Finish with a loss but makes the playoffs
Noles faced last season champs it was a good game until the fourth inning when the Noles made a couples of mental mistake and it took one inning for West Boyton Mustang to take the lead and never; gave it up. The good thing is the Noles made the playoffs and with a little work we will be ready. Good Luck

    Noles ride Colts
After a disappointed game against the PL Warriors the Noles bounce back by defeating the CS Colts. Benny gave us 3 strong innings allowing 1 run and the offence was spectacular hitting the ball at will. The Noles gave the ball to Fontanez but his pitching was not on as other nights so we gave the job to Jimmy. He step in when the bases were loaded and there were no outs it was the top of the 6th it seem they were getting momentum after a couples of hits but Jimmy close the door by striking out one batter and popping the last out. Great win for the Noles

    Noles Continue there Ways
The Noles continue to play good baseball we jumped all over the Stars, staring pitcher Caleb pitched a great game going 3 innings allowing 3 unearned runs. Setup pitcher Enrique gave us 2 innings of great pitching as well. Once again the Noles hit away and were very discipline at the plate and fighting every pitch. Chucky came in to close the game in the sixth and didn’t give any hit to seal the game. Nice Job

    Noles are Back!!
Noles are back in the winning column after a couple of loses the Noles regroup and went back to basics. Staring pitcher Fontanez was shaky at the beginning but got his composer and pitched a good game. The hit was the things we were working all week and it paid off almost every body got a hit. Alex came in to close the game and with help of the defense they went 1-2-3 and out. Good Work

Noles take 3rd at Spring Break Classic
    More to come!!!

We Take another from The Broncos
Staring pitcher Jimmy did great holding the Broncos with 2 runs for 3 innings , Enrique came in to close the door on the Broncos. Once again the defense and offense was great. Another quality win for the Noles

    Noles are The Stars
The Noles Took on the Plantation Stars and never trail in this game. Staring pitcher Benton gaves us 4 innings and allowing 3 unearned runs. Reliver Michael came in to close the game for the win, the Stars never saw the lead in this game. The Noles were ready for this game with offense and discipline. Great Win

    Noles Takes Two
In the first game, Enrique once again threw an outstanding game against the South Florida Falcons for the win. As the Noles hit the ball right to them but still had enough defense to stop them in their tracks.

In the second game of the afternoon, with Fontanez pitching and the Noles defense faced off against the PPO Bengals, who we had beaten before as they were out for revenge. The Bengals jumped out to an early lead, but the Noles came back to take the game lead in the 6th as the Bengals' ace worked hard to keep them in the game. Great sweep over the weekend

    Noles stop Bengals
Today the defense & pitching out performs the offence. Staring pitcher Jimmy allowed one run thru 4 innings, Benny came in for the next 2 innings to close the game for the save. The defense had great plays by Enrique, Alex, Jorge, and Benny. The players of the game were Chucky with 2 HR’s and Fontanez with another HR. in a night that the bats were asleep.

    Noles Ride the Broncos
With great defense from the Noles the Broncos didn’t have a chance. Staring pitcher Chucky gave 3 magnificent innings and allowing 1 unearned run. Michael came in the third to give us 11/2 innings while allowing 2 unearned runs. Then Fontanez came to close the game for the win. The offence was excellent with hits from Alex, Jorge, Edwin, Fontanez and Jimmy. The discipline at the plate was good, fighting every pitch to get on base with 5 walks. Great Game

    Noles tame Panthers
The Noles turned out a thoroughly dominating performance, winning their first game of the season in style. The Noles hitting was incredible throughout the game staring with Benny, Caleb, Chucky, Jorge, Ismael, Edwin, Jimmy and Fontanez, and the pitching was magnificent by Fontanez going 2 innings allowing 1 hit and Edwin for 1 inning getting all 3 outs with the help of the defense staring with Sammy yes you read right Sammy, Jimmy and Edwin the (pitcher) going to Michael at first and making a spectacular tag for the last out. Even though we played 3 innings due to the ten run rule; it was a good outing and the defense was great throughout the game.

The Driftwood Noles are getting geared up to kick off their 2007 13-U season. Combined with last years starters, Ismael, Benton, Jimmy, Enrique, Chucky, Edwin and Fontanez they will create an exciting and energized team. Plus we want to welcome these new players to the Noles family Michael G., Jorge M., Fernando M., Caleb C. and Alex M. they will give a boost to our defense & offence.
