| Information: | This event will interest sports clubs who either own or lease their facilities and are considering developing these facilities in the near future.
The full programme has still to be confirmed but will definitely include presentations from three Edinburgh clubs who have either delivered or are currently involved in a major project along with several topics that hopefully will be of interest to clubs.
Proposed Programme: (times may vary)
6.45pm Tea & Coffee served – opportunity to network
7.00pm Welcome, Introductions & Housekeeping
7.05pm Fernieside Football Club
- £55k development of a small synthetic playing area at The Drum Park, Gilmerton. Supported by Wren and Comic Relief Funding
7.25pm Lismore Rugby Club
£1.4m project at the Inch Park which will create changing/social facilities for rugby, football and cricket clubs in the area.
Project is ongoing, due for completion in 2010
7.45pm Spartans Football Academy
- £3.5m project opened exactly one year ago involved partnership working with City of Edinburgh Council, sportscotland and several other major funders
8.10pm Other Potential Contributors/Topics (still to be confirmed):
• Advice on developing a Business Plan
• Advice on planning applications
• Advice from potential funders
