Information:
• Any student going into 7th, 9th or 11th grade NEXT YEAR (2015 – 2016 school year), MUST take the concussion test regardless of when they took it last. If they take the test during these two weeks, it will be good for any fall, winter and/or spring sport they decide to play next year. If they cannot make their sports’ scheduled dates, they should attend one of the make-up dates. If they have to go to another sports’ date, please have them call the AD office first.
• Any student going into 8th, 10th or 12th grade NEXT YEAR (2015 – 2016 school year), is not required to take the concussion test AS LONG AS THEY TOOK IT SOMETIME THIS SCHOOL YEAR (2014 – 2015). If they are a new student to NA or didn’t play a sport this year, they will be required to take it even though they are going into 8th, 10th or 12th grade.
We do not accept baseline tests that were taken at Pediatrician offices. The only baseline test, outside of NA, that we accept is from the UPMC Concussion Clinic, which includes any of their satellite sites. For instance, the UPMC Concussion Clinic uses CCAC as one of their testing sites. That’s ok. If that happens, they should bring in a copy of their baseline test so our trainers can pull over their information from the UPMC database to the NA site.
The familyid.com site will be open and available for all fall 2015 sports registrations on Monday, June 1, 2015. That’s also the first day we can accept physical forms. Remember….the date on the physical cannot be any earlier than June 1, 2015. The registration process is exactly the same as last year. If you have an account set-up in familyid.com already, it will be a short process. Please be sure the parents update their child’s personal and/or health information from last year if there are any changes. The participation fee will remain the same as this year and is due, once again, prior to trying out for a fall sport. We will still have the two options for paying….on-line and drop off a check to the Athletic Office.
