Merge Meeting!
There have been numerous rumors today regarding a merge meeting with the Eagles and the Huskies. This meeeting was setup without the knowledge of the Eagles board or the Huskies board. Brian Dimond and myself have been in communication all day regarding this issue. And WE would like to confirm that there is NO meeting taking place regarding a merge of the two organizations. I'm sure that there will come a time, where it will make plenty of sense to sit down and discuss this further, now is not the time. There has never been a time, where both organizations have communicated and cooperated in such a positive manner as we do now. For somebody to try and disrupt this peaceful and amicable situation has no idea how the two organizations work. For anybody to say that making one association will serve the youth in a positive manner, is totally wrong. All it will do is make a winning team and a losing team on all levels. This is all about winning everything, not about serving the youth in the proper manner. We are not here to fulfill the egos of a few, but to fulfill our committment to the youth of the city. Both organizations have had football teams make the playoffs and cheer squads win in their respective competitions this year. Is there anything wrong with that? The Eagles and the Huskies are committed to excellence on all levels, including the way the board of directors, coaches, players and parents conduct themselves when it involves our respective organizations. I ask that you please call Brian if you are from the Eagles or you call me, whenever you feel there is any situation that you are not comfortable with involving the relationship between the two associations. Just remember whatever we do, it will always be for the betterment of the youth we serve.
