How much Marine firepower does it take to grease 100's of Iraqi insurgents? I thought this was a pretty cool pic sent to me by the youngest O. They tell me that Marine artillery is the undisputed King of Battle. Thanks for the pic men.-"O"

"THANK GOD FOR THOSE THAT SERVE!"
July 4, 2004
I just want to say, “thank god for those who serve.” The 4th of July is not just about getting drunk and lighting off fireworks. It’s almost like Christmas; please don’t forget the reason for the season. We do those things to celebrate Independence Day, a celebration for freedom. We have our freedom because of brave young men and women putting everything aside for their country. It is how we got our freedom and how we keep it every day. Many have sacrificed since the beginning of our days as a nation. Those that have given their lives and the families that have lost them. Many of you know that Steve and I have a brother in Iraq. Not many days go by that my eyes don’t swell a little with pride when I see an American flag, or an old vet, or a Marine sticker in the back of a car. I just want to say that I am glad that my weapon of choice is a 28 0z. Miken Freak and not a rifle. I know that is because of those that have served in the past, that serve today, and those that will serve. God bless them all, and thank god for them. "We miss you Abe," Big O.
