  • 2013/2014 Prospective Player Confidential Registration
Attention age eligible 12U, 14U, 16U & 18U classification athletes. The Battery Lightning is taking the same stance as the top college coaches in the country in that “the search for exceptional athletes and players is a never ending task”. If you want to step out of "travel softball" and into "development softball" with the emphasis being on development and exposure then register here.

At the Battery Lightning we have the finest and most experienced staff of coaches and instructors in the area working with all our teams together in every workout and practice with the sole focus of advanced player development. Most importantly we are the only Rochester based organization established in the Gold Showcase circuit which is a big advantage for athletes as they move up to our higher levels. We have managed to do this in a few very short years and we have established credible relationships with college coaches from all around the country through that time which is a great advantage for our players.

We will have many openings at all levels in 2013/14 due to natural attrition with a few players beginning their college careers as well as internal movements. We are also open to creating additional teams as demand warrants all under the same guidance and umbrella. The more the merrier!

Thank You and we look forward to hearing from you!

  • 23U- Interest Form
The 23U is looking for current college softball athletes for this Summer. The plan is to provide the ladies with an affordable opportunity to train (approximately once a week) and play in tournaments (3-4 total). This is a great way to play with fellow college players who are dedicated to the sport and getting better/staying sharp. We feel this formula also affords the ladies with plenty of time left to work at their summer jobs, take summer classes and spend time with family and friends away from softball depending on their situation. All we ask for is a commitment to be in attendance for the scheduled weekend events in their entirety and attendance at as many weekly workouts they can make with flexibility.

Today we have commitments from players who spent their summers playing for a variety of travel softball teams, who call NY home and who are currently playing at schools such as Syracuse, Pittsburgh, Iowa State, Niagara, and Cortland to name a few. We will also include our signed/committed players on our Gold team as well. Our plan is to design a roster that makes sense for the girls so they get the most out of their time with us.
