HFFL WEEKLY WRAP UP WEEK 5
September 21, 2010 - 01:44 PM

Outlawz take another punishing loss to the Eagles 20-0. Donnie Parker connected with JJ Jackson for 2 of his 3TDs on the day for Parker. Oilers were trash talking heavy before this one started at 9am, as Eric Bottomely continues to score TD after TD, Red Devils need to fix their QB situation or its going to be a long 2nd half of the season, In the game of the week, Vikings finally beat the Steelers and put the Steelers in a compromising position, Ivan Schmitt fascinates again recording 148 yards on 5 catches to go along with 2 Tds. Steelers have to bounce back playing in the tougher conference by far as seeding in this conference will be real important for a playoff run. Young Gunz destroy the Gatorz 35-0 as Chris Roberts throws for 5 TD passes and 243 yards. Commissioner Blunt gets juked out of his sweat socks as Pito Gonzalez catches a pass on a double move. Franchise were down early to the Wolverines but a dropped snap in the End Zone by the Wolverines had a heavy momentum swing in favor of the Franchise. Franchise scored 29 unanswered points as Deveane Meade rushed for an HFFL record 193 yards to go along with 3 rushing TDS. In the Young Gunz second game of the day, they beat the Warriors 20-12. Gunz David Sanchez scores 2 Tds on 4 catches for 116 yards. Dont know how easy it was for the Gunz or Sanchez, but Sanchez was caught literally walking into the end zone on an 80 yard bomb, stopping at the 1 yard line and asking Pito Gonzalez if he wanted to him to pitch it back so Gonzalez could have it... geeze! In the most exciting game of the season. Franchise and Assassins go down to the wire. Assassins score late and decide to go for 2 and the win and fail to convert. In an unusual situation, Meade at the end of this won with just over 60 seconds left decides to pass it on consecutive downs instead of kneeling on it for the win, almost gibing the Assassins another chance to win. Meade must no Madden rules don't apply here in the HFFL lol. Could closing games be the Maybacs weakness???
