| GCDTA held their Annual Board Elections Sunday, October 25, 2015.
If you have ever volunteered your time in an organization, you know that it never comes with a promise that all things will be a bed of roses. In fact, it tends to be just the opposite despite all the best of intentions of everyone working hard to make “this year”, the BEST year! But what makes our board volunteers the best, is that despite all of the unexpected challenges that were faced just this year, they never wavered in their decision to hang in there, even when it meant having to share those “unacceptable answers” regarding vendor issues, missing equipment, etc. to our parents or coaches. It’s not a glamorous job and yes it comes with a lot of long hours, frustration in not being able to make everything possible happen and with no pay. But it is one we certainly appreciate and love about those individuals who are willing to serve on our Board. Please help us as we thank our 2015 Board of Directors for their precious time and energy for a job well done.
