As a mother of three kids I have encountered broken bones...stitches...bumps...bruises...falls. I have never ever had to deal with a broken heart and in the almost ten young years of my sons life I have never witnessed him cry until tonight. This loss was more than just a loss to him it was devastating. As a mother I want to wrap him in my arms and tell him its okay and your a champion everyday and you had an amazing season.....but he doesn't want to hear any of that all he knows is it wasn't ood enough to bring home a superbowl that these Amazing young men earned with their hard work and dedication. And what hurts worse is having your son tell you that he thinks the referees weren't being fair and called flags that weren't justified. These boys are old enough to know what's going on and this is a sad day....but we are raiders and we will come back next year stronger...thirstier...more passionate and we are resilient and will overcome this. What an amazing ride my son is so thankful for his coaches and his brother's and loves you all. I'm proud of you boys!!! Keep your heads up and there was something that will come from this loss it will drive you and push you and make you stronger maybe not today or tomorrow but you will grow from this love you boys!!!!

As we are in the same boat never seen my son cry a day in his life outside of a good spanking!lol I think this loss now having two days to digest was the absolute best thing to happen to this group! Now the rest of there sports lives no matter how great a team they are own or how great we all tell them they are they will always keep this loss in the back of there minds. It will keep them hungry and I bet this group doesnt lose another superbowl the rest of there career. To quote a little man much wiser than me Vincent Cox #9 " Dad next year every time I run the ball or tackle somebody I will remember how important it is to go just a little bit harder and faster" Words to live by from a 9 year old! I think Coach COO COO and a few others not only prepared these boys for football all year but they prepared them for life. Now we are hungry. I know my son, Mosh, Dorian, DD Casey, Lil Grego and the rest of these 3rd graders wont take this loss lightly since the whole Bteam was crying as well. Great group of boys and they will respond like no other I am sure of that. Great season and hey we are still City champs!lol #2013
