| Just came from Town of Oyster Bay Soccer Festival & what a day!
The kids got to watch college match, at halftime see four kids soccer games(U9), then particpate in a ten-station soccer development clinic hosted & run by all of the players from four college teams. Finally, there were several soccer skills contests for the kids. Free food, T-shirts, soccer bags, other giveaways, raffles, autographs, music and then a women's college soccer match followed the men's match.
If you have not had a chance to go to this Soccer Festival before, give it a try the next time around. Plenty to do & everybody could select their own level of particpation. Saw many loyals from POBSC.
Enjoy the rest of your summertime!

| Update, this year's 2012 soccer festival will begin at 4pm on Saturday, August 11th. Feature NCAA Division 1 battle between St. John's and Stony Brook will be 7pm. Many of the girls and boys travel players should see the College matchup and all of our 5-10 year olds will likely enjoy the free soccer skills clinic run by coaches of Hofstra and St. Johns together with the players of all four college teams participating.
I am told there will be tons of free giveaways, players autographs, free BBQ for the kids, free admission to college games just bring some canned goods to support Island Harvest.
