What a great game played by both Wilmington and Cambridge, Cambridge squeezed out the win 13-12. both teams played their hearts out and best of luck to cambridge as they move forward in the play offs.

My son does NOT play for the Wilmington B team and I was so proud to be there to support these boys tonight!

PWFCEM should be ashamed of themselves for:
1. allowing the game to even be played this evening was a disgrace, we are under a winter weather advisory
2. the half time debacle....i hope the boy from cabmridge is ok that passed out but when their coach comes out screaming that they need an EMT and there may not have been one at the field..really. And when a player is injured in the locker room, why does the game have to delayed?

continued.....

3. The refs should be embarassed and for cambridges' sake i hope they have those refs everywhere they go, they are bound to win all the way in FL. Wilmington had a great play, ran it down the side line (30 yards) and one ref stated that the other team called a time out but the ref couldn't get the whistle out of his pocket. Really? Your a ref, the whistle is an integral part of the game and yet it's in your pocket? Called the play, gave the timeout.

PWFCEM you should be ashamed....if there are not complaints about this evenings game i would be shocked. the gentleman standing on wilmingtons sideline from PWFCEM, you should be even more ashamed....to stand there and watch that disgraceful display of refereeing and not say anything. This is about the kids and unfortunately wilmington got screwed tonight. they even got called for block in the back on the sideline and the ref tried to blame it on the lead blocker and there wasn't even one there. just disgusting, hope you are all able to sleep tonight because i can bet there are many wilmington boys and coaches who can't thanks to you all.

It's no wonder more and more towns are leaving Pop Warner - all about the money, not ever about the kids.

Wilmington will be back down that field tomorrow, as will I and we will hold our heads up knowing who played the best game tonight and should have had the victory if the other team didn't have the extra 4 guys on the field wearing stripes.

GO WILDCATS!!!! We are so very proud of our program and the manner in which it is run, we have nothing to hide or ever be ashamed of....maybe it's time for us to take our large contingent of teams and cheerleaders and jump ship too and play in another organization????

Do you think it will matter, Football is not a priority for EMASS. That is why programs are looking to other options.

The grass is not always greener somewhere else. Football has always been played in all kinds of weather. Both teams are playing in the same elements so there is no advantage. The games need to be played to have everyone ready for N E this Sunday. AS far as the refs go some times they make bad calls and even if the emass directers are there that does not mean that they can overturn a call they can only report what they see to the person that is in charge of the officals. Both teams played a good game lets congradulate them keep it positive.

I agree completely but now that same field has been deemed unplayable for tonight's games....the weather was terrible last night and luckily both teams walked away without injury! It was a great game by both teams, trust me I am not discrediting that one bit and I will support any Eastern Mass team in the next round!!

When the teams are playing in this level (championship game) the refs should be a bit more diligent....my opinion, so we can agree to disagree.

There should be some sort of evaluation on these refs, The better ones should be doing the playoff games. I do not think that would be too hard to do. As far as the field conditions in Cambridge, I find it unlikely that it is not playable. You can believe what you want.....
Best of luck to all the Emass teams in the playoffs.

I am a very proud parent of one of the children who played in the game.

I am completely appauled by the lack of concern shown for safety of folks that had to play and attend last nights game. Bad calls asside kids as usual covered themselves with pride in playing a hard fought game.

You would think as the adults we would make the right decisions both in terms of safety of kids and correcting blatent mistakes on the field and clearly EMass Pop Warner did neither.

Should be the job of the directors to make it right. There were plenty there that know the wrong call was made both by the refs and their decision to move forward with the game.

A child was rushed to hospital in ambulance an no doubt conditions were part of the reason. I find it extremely hypocritical that tonights game was canceled due to conditions...really no wind and light rain is worse conditions than heavy snow with 50 mph wind gust and wind chill in the 20's.

Emass did not cover themselves with pride and it is the kids that suffered. Getting school aged children home at 11:30 at night on a school night. Is that the right lesson pop warner is teaching...tough to have little scholars when they get no sleep!

Extremely upset with pop warner but great job kids!!! You covered pop warner with pride in how you played, I only wish directors could have done the same.
