| Right now in early March it is hard to put your finger down on the USPL teams and be like, “yep, here is how they are going to do this season”. Well, I’m going to give that a shot. It’s a win win situation I either nail it and look like a genius or I’ll just hey, it was early March, it was a wild guess. Ok here we go.... Duchess, MAS and DST in the final three. The boys from Markham will fly the orange championship flag.

Watching spring training games, also means baseball is right around the corner.
So here we go:-
Starks displays a cut above everyone with big final win.
Tar win the old man league.

| The School team made numerous improvements last year, this may be the year the take the next step on the championship road.
I strained my knee this last year playing ball.
At physio....it was suggested I get one of those neoprene knee braces for extra support and also keeps the muscles and ligaments warm.
Anyone use one of these and have any brand you can recommend ?

| Just a word of caution. I used to have some major knee problems when I was younger (16/17) from competitive skiing, and worked with my sports specialist Dr to get them fixed thru rehab/excercise, I was asked to wear one of these braces for a month or so - but only while my knee was rehabbing. While I completely agree you should wear one of these while you're healing - you should absolutely take it off when you're done healing, knee and ankle joints shouldn't get used to having support 24/7 else they become reliant on it.

| Blumpy, I’ve just been sitting around (just like you). Nothing much on the forum, just the usual almost Spring stuff
GUYS PREDICTING 2017 WINNERS – I thought we had a draft and anyone can go from last to first?
GUYS ASKING ABOUT NEW GLOVES – If the glove isn’t over 25 years old don’t replace it. Of course ½ the league is under 25 years of age – so it could be a while.
GUYS GETTING OFF THE LEAF BANDWAGON – oh what a surprise. Actually this year it was 3 months later than usual AND you have to pay more to see them next year.
GUYS GETTING ON THE BLUE JAYS BANDWAGON – at least that guy Shapiro (pronounced Shit Pie Hole) didn’t bring in any more guys from Cleveland – oh ya he sent someone to Cleveland.
A LOT OF GUYS SAYING – they can’t wait for the season to start. Sand under cleats – sun in the sky – and suds in the trunk.
How u been Blumpy? What’s new?

| Pretty simple really, the past few years have seen - multiple exemption picks. - separation of the Masters - now A and B Divisions.
It's all attracting a different type of Ball Player to our league from years past. Lets fast forward to a crisp cool night, end of May, where two top A Division teams are playing at Crosby. Don't you see a 30-25 type score by the end of the third inning? We've been outgrowing that park for a long time. I'm predicting some silly nights standing around waiting for the HR balls to come back in...

| Agree fully, HP. One way to correct this problem is for the league to be a little more 'aware' when doing up the schedule. Maybe try not to have the strong Open matches played at Crosby in May, June, and September. The ball really flies in those months. I'm not saying that these teams shouldn't be playing at Crosby at all, but maybe the games that have the potential to be barn-burners should be played in July & August, when the mugginess will slow the trajectory (a little).
Anyway, my two cents.

| Crosby should have a plus 3 rule with any homers above that as an automatic out. Speed up games and more strategy involved. So much wasted time spent there chasing home run balls when teams are at the max already. Great league and looking forward to the start of the season and what all the teams have done to improve.

| There was plenty of “greatest of all time”speculation swirling around the stands on the weekend as a certain team tore through the league this year with twenty wins. As it turns out, though, the weren’t even the greatest team of the season since their performance was less than idle. I suppose we all learned our collective lesson, because there hasn’t been anywhere near as much GOAT chatter this time around.
