Registration will be held at:
McCURDY FIELD (on Jefferson St)
JUNE: EVERY SATURDAY 9 AM TO 12AM
JULY: WEDNESDAY 6PM TO 8PM, SATURDAY 9AM TO 12PM
AUGUST: REGISTRATIONS STILL BEING ACCEPTED!!! Saturdays at McCurdy Field! PLEASE CALL Skip Clark first!
FYFL, in its 55th year, has teams playing competitively at three age levels of football for boys and girls:
Flag (no contact) Age 5 – 7
Jr. Varsity (contact) Age 8-10 (7 year olds turning 8 by Dec. 1, 2008 have the option of playing JV instead of flag)
Varsity (contact) Age 11 – 13
Cheerleaders Age 6 - 13
Please provide copy of your birth certificate and your insurance card at registration.
Flag football teams are limited to 10 players per team.
JV and Varsity teams are limited to 22 players per team.
Each player WILL get playing time in every game.

Two Youths (same family) $175.00 ($25.00 discount)
Three Youths (same family) $250.00 ($50.00 discount)
Cheerleader Pricing
One Youth $100.00
Two Youths (same family) $190.00 ($10.00 discount)
Three Youths (same family) $280.00 ($20.00 discount)
Fees are non-refundable. Additionally, all football players must submit a check of $100 for deposit for equipment. This check is not cashed unless equipment is NOT returned after the season. Dear Board of Directors, Coaches, Players, Cheerleaders, and Parents of FYFL:
Thanks, everyone, for your support during my tenure as President of the Frederick Youth Football League. We have really turned this program around the past few years. When I took over the role as President, the league was in dire straits. Financially, there was no money and we owed plenty to local merchants. With a lot of teamwork and the support of all the volunteers in the league, we have made FYFL the “Premier” youth football league of Frederick County. We have some of the best coaches around. We have purchased much needed equipment and uniforms for all the teams. New programs have been added. Such as the Frederick High School Youth Mini Camp, Punt Pass and Kick, Opening Day Celebration, and moving our All Star Game to Frederick High’s football stadium. All of which have brought much praise from the families of FYFL and the Frederick community as a whole.
My role as President over the last three years has been challenging but rewarding. Thank you for helping me to get such an important program back on its feet for all youth of Frederick County.
With the transition to my new job, I feel that the time has come for me to pass the role of President along to someone else. My new job is very demanding and will require me to travel quite often, and I’m afraid that the FYFL program might receive short shrift if I continue as President.
So effective today, March 19th, 2008, I am resigning as your President.
So many people have devoted just as much time as I have in getting the FYFL program going that I feel certain we can keep the momentum going.

About the FYFL
The Frederick Youth Football League is a non-profit organization charted to provide a positive after school program to assist our youth of Frederick County to achieve their highest potential as they develop their skill sets into caring, confident and competent individuals. Players ages 8-13*, male or female, who reside in Frederick County are eligible for play. Each season, approximately 250 children play on six varsity and six junior varsity teams. We are going into our 55th season, and hope you will join us for the upcoming 2008 season.

* Age cutoff is August 1st. 13 year olds entering the 9th grade are not eligible for play in FYFL. We encourage all Freshmen to play for their High School Team. *
FYFL Objective
Our objective is to implant firmly in the children of the community the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage, and reverence for authority so that they may be well adjusted, stronger, and happier children and will grow to be good, decent, healthy, and trustworthy citizens.
To achieve this objective FYFL will provide a supervised program under the rules and regulations of the league. All directors, officers, and members shall bear in mind that the attainment of exceptional athletic skills or the winning of game is secondary, and the molding of future citizens is of prime importance.
Mission Statement
Develop the fundamentals of the game of football- stance, blocking, tackling, running, throwing, catching, conditioning, and sportsmanship.
Develop the fundamentals of cheerleading - cheers, chants, jumps, stunts, good health and fitness, and sportsmanship.
Establish an understanding of the commitment necessary by the parents and the athletes in order to enhance success, both on and off the field.
