The G-Canes Football organization's President Rev. Robert Woodard III and Athletic Director Kevin Matthews has announced that the 2008 Football season will be THE "PREMIER" year! The organization also encourages parents to enroll their young daughters to join the exciting Whirlettes Drill Team and Cheerleading Squad! President Woodard is looking forward to a new and exciting championship season for the Hurricanes!
The Whirlettes will be under the direction of Norma Oliver.
There will be 3 scheduled registration days throughout the spring and summer for potential players, cheerleaders, and drill team members. Registration for boys and girls is $200. Minimum down payment to reserve a spot for your child on either of the teams will be $100. If there are 2 or more siblings from the same household, there is a $25 discount per additional child.
The G-Cane organization is implementing for the 1st time, a payment-plan. Please check with Treasurer Samantha Humphrey.
At the 3rd and final registration, the total fee(s) for registration to be paid in full is mandatory! Unless there is a designated deadline for fees posted. Be mindful that there is and will be a waiting list for kids to be registered, those that have not paid in full will not get a refund if their child does not participate. So make sure all fee totals have been paid by or on the designated deadline to insure your childs' spot on the team(s).
Birth certificates and medical records may be required at any of the registrations.
NO EQUIPMENT WILL BE ISSUED TO ANY PLAYER OR CHEER & DRILL PARTICIPANT UNTIL ALL FEES HAVE BEEN PAID IN FULL! NO EXCEPTIONS!!!

"The 3rd & 4th 2008 Spring and Summer Registrations for the G-Canes upcoming season will be Saturday's, June 14th & July 12th at the Wright Cuney Park located at 718 41st Street from 10am to 2pm!"

Parent and Fan Information for game day:
Only coaches with badges are allowed on the sidelines or in the team area.
Parents or fans are not allowed to go to the team at half time.
The team's coaches are the only ones that can converse with the team, even during half time.
Parents and players are reminded that they signed a Code of Ethics and should refrain from derogatory remarks toward the opposing team, coaches, and fans.
Please remember that everyone involved in YOUR club as well as the other clubs are volunteers who have dedicated their time, effort, and support to the youth of TIFI.
Please make note of this information to save your club from being accessed penalties or monetary fines!
