Ranchview Wolves shut the door early on Poly Tech, capturing a 14-4 victory on Sunday at Polytech.
The game was decided quickly as Ranchview Wolves exerted its will early with 11 runs in the first three innings.
A two-run home run by Cody Wienholz, a steal of home by Jordan Nowels, and a steal of home by Matt Acker in the first inning and a two-run triple by John Eagleton in the second inning helped Ranchview Wolves put some runs on the board early.
Eagleton racked up five RBIs on two hits for Ranchview Wolves.
Eagleton got it done on the rubber on the way to a win. He allowed four runs over four innings. The Ranchview Wolves pitcher struck out seven, walked five and surrendered two hits.
Aggressive baserunning led to 13 steals for Ranchview Wolves. Marcus Wimby and Nowels each had one stolen base, Eagleton had two stolen bases, Jordan Eagleton had three stolen bases, and Acker had six stolen bases.
Ranchview Wolves closer Eagleton put away the final three outs to record the save.
Ranchview Wolves added five more runs in the top of the third. A ground out scored Sanat Valecha to start the scoring in the inning. That was followed up by Eagleton's single, bringing home Acker.
Ranchview Wolves piled on two more runs in the top of the fourth. A clutch steal of home scored Acker to open the scoring in the frame. That was followed up by Victor Koremura's single, plating Collin Rison.
