MARAUDERS TRIPLE THEIR WAY TO VICTORY

Mira Mesa hit 4 triples to account for most of the scoring as they defeated Granite Hills 7-4. The Marauders wasted no time as lead-off hitter Lani Vanta started the game with a triple to deep left, and came home on an Amber Ratza RBI single to right. Mira Mesa added single runs in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th innings on a Vanta RBI triple to score Beth Coffin who walked, a Mercedes Humphrey run-scoring single to bring home Ratza, and Katiyana Mauga's triple to score Vanta. The Marauders increased the lead to 7-2 in the 6th as K. Mauga's triple to deep left-center scored Vanta and Ratza, and Tani Leasau followed with a RBI single. Vanta went the distance to pick up the victory for Mira Mesa.
