Beers Fall Short of a Comeback
However, the Beers couldn't complete the sweep. Down by 3 going into the bottom of the last inning of game 2, the Beers were able to get a run in and put 2 runners on but ended the game on an ill-conceived sac fly attempt. Mike Darling continued his hot hitting, going 3/3 with an RBI triple, raising his average to .593. Justin Daniels extended his RBI streak to 5 games, with Steve Rossi and Simon Rucker also driving in a run each.
