Sharks drop opener in Palm Coast Classic
The once beaten Flagler Palm Coast Bulldogs came out firing and never looked back in defeating the Sharks for the second time this season in the opening game of the Palm Coast Classic.
Eleven players scored for the 10-1 Bulldogs led by Tyler Hopkins game high 19, 11 of those coming in Palm Coasts 19-8 first quarter binge.
Once again it was Beau Beech leading the way for Ponte Vedra, whose record now drops to 4-7 on the still young season. Beech had 31 points in a losing cause, but was only 5 of 14 from three-point range.
No other Shark was in double figures, although sophomore point guard Jackson Johnson was close with 9 tallies to go along with five assists
The Sharks look forward to getting back into the winning column when they play University Christian Friday afternoon at 2:00 PM in Palm Coast.
