EHOA Tigers Are Crowned SuperJoe Bowl Champions
In their second time around in the SuperJoe Bowl, the EHOA Tigers faced a familiar foe with the Raiders. The Raiders coming off a decisive win over last season's champions had the "BIG MO" but the EHOA Tigers were riding high having had a time off. In the first half the Raiders failed to continue their hot streak from previous games as they went scoreless in the first have and cause morale to weaken; the EHOA Tigers on the other hand, kept up their normal offensive performance as they put up 19 points most of which come from the arm of QB Phil Shellhaus and the hands of tough receiving core. In the second the Raiders attempted to mount a comeback as they struck first with a QB Jerome Leslie toss to the always dangerous Jerry Hightower. The EHOA Tigers, after a quick wake up call, fired back with two more scores of their own including LaBrone Mitchell on the recieving end of one of them who then made a pitch in timely fashion to Roy Croxton who took it in for the dagger which killed a chance for a Riader comeback. The Raiders failed to put together another scoring drive in the second half and simply ran out of steam as they were on a 3 game win streak to reach the big game. The EHOA Tigers in their second go round, take home the SuperJoe Bowl II Championship.
